1. Program description

Patients who opt in receive appointment reminders and confirmations, schedule-change notices, check-in and telehealth visit links, patient-portal and intake-form notices, and billing reminders. Hillside clinicians who opt in receive urgent lab-desk alerts asking them to call the lab desk. Messages never include diagnoses, test results or other clinical details. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

2. How to opt in

Patients opt in verbally with our staff, who read a standard consent script and record the patient's yes in the patient's health record. The script is shown on our SMS Consent page. Clinicians opt in by entering their own mobile number in our staff app. After you opt in, you receive one confirmation text. Consent is not a condition of receiving care or of employment.

Message frequency varies based on your appointments and account activity.

Message and data rates may apply.

6. How to opt out

Text STOP to any message to cancel. You may also reply CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE or STOPALL. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts. Text START to rejoin.

7. Carrier liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy.
