Lizbet Castillo Gonzalez, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, patient-centered primary care in Southside San Antonio. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is committed to helping patients and families feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Lizbet earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UT Health San Antonio in 2018 and her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in 2025. Before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, she gained seven years of nursing experience in telemetry and postpartum care.
Her approach to care centers on building trusting relationships, listening carefully to patient concerns, and supporting preventive care and everyday health needs. Lizbet is passionate about serving the diverse Southside San Antonio community and welcomes new patients at Hillside Primary Care.
Outside of work, Lizbet enjoys spending time outdoors, being with family, and exploring new restaurants.

I want to say "Thank You To Hillside Primary Care" for accepting New Patients considering that I was with Gonzaba for more than 20 years until recently they stopped being my Primary Care Physician 😢. After many calls to my insurance trying to find another PCP I was directed to Hillside Primary Care by my insurance. It was extremely overwhelming and stressful trying to find a new doctor. I made an appointment and saw Dr. Lizbet Gonzales she was extremely comforting, professional and very kind. I mentioned all of my concerns she listened and answered all of my questions regarding my healthcare giving me peace of mind. Dr. Gonzales was extremely thorough on all testing. Tests that were never done before during my Healthcare at Gonzaba. I look forward in continuing my healthcare with Dr. Gonzales. The staff is exceptionally kind, caring and professional ready to answer any questions or concerns with a smile. The office is very clean and cozy. Mrs Stella is awesome !! So glad I switched to this facility for my primary care. They’ve been able to handle my weight loss , They did it last minute appointment for my husband, and he was in severe pain

I love my mother’s PA Lizbeth. She is very thorough and really listens to her and also takes her time with her patients. My mother loves coming to see her as always 🫶. My mother feels comfortable and understood here. 5 STARS all the way!
I just want to say how much I appreciate Hillside Primary Care. Every time I come in, everyone is so kind and welcoming. When I first started going there over a year ago, I was dealing with a lot of health issues and honestly felt overwhelmed, but the doctors and the ladies at the front desk always made me feel comfortable and cared for. The office is always clean, calm, and organized, and I truly appreciate that I’m always seen in a timely manner by Dr. Beard. I also want to give a special shout out to all the women at the front desk and everyone who helps keep everything running so smoothly. One thing that really stands out to me is seeing the same friendly faces there over time. That consistency means a lot and makes it feel even more personal and welcoming. Thank you all for the care, kindness, and professionalism you show every visit.

My Dr.stella is the most amazing doctor i ever had . All my life I have struggled with my asthma and since I've been seeing her My asthma symptoms are gone, I rarely use my inhaler. She is an amazing doctor
