About Jan Elliott, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Jan Elliott, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a seasoned healthcare professional with a nursing career that began in 1986, when she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Angelo State University. She subsequently earned her BSN from Kaplan University and in December 2017 completed her Master’s Degree with a specialty in Family Practice Nurse Practitioner from Purdue Global. Over her career, Jan achieved several remarkable milestones: she received a United Way grant to establish a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo; was awarded the United Way ‘Friends of the Victims of Crime’ award for her advocacy work; and was instrumental in launching an EMS helicopter program at Shannon Hospital, both of which continue to this day. Jan later opened her own clinic, Best Choice Primary Care, in the Castle Hills area of San Antonio, which she sold to Dr. Derin Patel. She is proud to now practice with Hillside Primary Care, continuing her mission of high-quality, compassionate care.
