Dr. Derin Patel, MD, Founder, CMO

Dr. Derin Patel, MD, is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Hillside Primary Care. Hillside Primary Care is a rapidly growing multi-site primary care practice serving communities across Texas. Board Certified in Internal Medicine with over 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Patel is known for his patient-first philosophy, taking the time to listen, educate, and build genuine relationships with every individual in his care. After graduating from Ross University School of Medicine, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky. He practiced as a hospitalist in Owensboro, Kentucky, and Evansville, Indiana, before moving to Texas and founding Hillside Primary Care in 2018. His passion for educating patients about their plan of care while making them feel genuinely heard defines the culture of care across all Hillside locations.
