About Dr. Melissa Kempf, MD
Dr. Melissa Kempf, MD, is a native San Antonian and proud graduate of Churchill High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, completing clinical training across both Lubbock and El Paso. She then completed her residency at UTMB in Conroe, Texas. Dr. Kempf served three distinguished years as a primary care physician at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, under an Air Force scholarship, serving as a team leader and completing a deployment to Incirlik, Turkey, providing emergency medical care. Following her military service, she returned to San Antonio, where she has practiced Family Medicine for over 20 years, cultivating long-term relationships with many loyal patients. She is honored to continue her work at Hillside Primary Care in Stone Oak.

It has been a bit of an adjustment since the practice moved to Bulverde, but now that things have settled down and we have come to know our new provider, Ms Jan Elliott, we’ve been treated so well!! Appointments are handled easily over the portal in a prompt and easy to use manner. Referrals and medication requests can also be handled through the patient portal. I love my new provider, Ms Jan. She’s very knowledgeable, patient and never rushes me out the door. I feel like I’m being listened to and actually treated. She’s a wonderful addition to Hillside Family Medicine
