I earned my Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Lamar University – Beaumont in 1999. I enjoyed a variety of nursing experiences before settling in at McKenna Memorial, now Christus Santa Rosa – New Braunfels in 2002. My nursing career was mainly there until I earned my Masters Degree in Nursing with a minor in Nursing Education in 2011. This led me to a career of 12 years at a community health clinic in Uvalde, Texas. During this time, I maintained a “work home” in Uvalde and my “family home” in New Braunfels. Now my goal is to continue my career with a permanent transition back to New Braunfels and surrounding areas.
My personal philosophy of practice is to develop the rapport necessary with my patients to collaborate on a plan of care that works for them toward their better health. This includes education and holistic care as well as traditional medical care.
In my spare time, I enjoy DIY projects in my home, camping in my little RV, and enjoying music festivals and live venues with a group of local musicians that I have come to love as friends and family. I also pursue my goal of life-long learning.
